Medical Detox

Medically Assisted Detox at Orchard Recovery Center

Alcohol and opioid withdrawal can be challenging and is often accompanied by physical and psychological symptoms, which can deter individuals from seeking treatment. Medically assisted detox offers a safer and more comfortable way to manage these symptoms, reducing the likelihood of complications and improving the chances of successful recovery.

Medically assisted withdrawal or detox is the initial phase of treatment. The detox stage of treatment includes an assessment by one of our Addiction Medicine doctors, followed by medication review, recommendations, and management of withdrawal symptoms with support from our Registered Nurses, support staff and clinical team.

A personโ€™s readiness to participate in all aspects of programming is determined by the clinical team. Clearance to use the fitness facility or go on nature walks is determined by the Orchard Nurse. Readiness to participate in programming is a client-centered approach.
